Than or Then?
'Than' is a conjunction and a preposition. As a conjunction it connects two clauses or phrases.
'We should not spend more than we earn.'
'Than' is also a preposition, that is followed by a noun.
'He is a lot taller than his sister.'

'Than' is often used after a comparative adjective or adverb.
'The bus is much faster than walking.'
‘Then’ has a number of meanings and the more commonly used one is where it is used to refer to the next thing that happens in a sequence.
'He walked into the bedroom then he turned on the light and jumped into bed.'
‘Then’ can also also be used to reference a particular time in the past.
'He was a student at that time and was then living in a small house.'
